Bubble tea, tea houses, Asian bakeries and dessert shops in this group are usually walk-in, counter-order businesses with a menu board overhead listing sweetness and ice levels you can adjust when ordering. Standard bubble tea customization includes sugar level (0-100%), ice level, and a choice of toppings like boba pearls, pudding or jelly, usually at a small extra charge. Asian bakeries sell items individually with tongs and a tray, cafeteria-style, rather than pre-boxed, and pastries are typically less sweet than Western bakery items. My friend and I stopped by on a Tuesday at about 3pm (an hour before they closed). We had only drinks, but there was a sizable selection of pastries, sandwiches and cakes still available. The decor is very nice, and note that it’s not a study space β€” no laptops and tablets are allowed. It’s a great place to hang out, read a book, or enjoy a break. The staff are absolutely the sweetest and as my friend and I were getting ready to leave at closing time, we were told that we could each have some sandwiches to go. This bakery bakes everything fresh each morning, so they wanted to minimize waste and they were kind enough to pass on some treats to us. I toasted the sandwiches at home and they turned out delicious! Rich, bright flavors and a beautiful combination of textures. I will be back to try their cakes and pastries πŸ΄πŸ™‚β€β†•οΈ

This was a big disappointment. After all the hype online we went to try several pastries and a sandwich. We also got two coffees which were very tiny. The bananas foster latte was so sweet that I could not drink more than three sips. It was horrible. The cardamom pastry was too dense and honestly tasted as though it was day old. The peach tart tasted like Kroger and the ham sandwich on a baguette was very mid. The bread was not good. I’m aware we are in Metro Detroit and that I am comparing to world renowned Boulangeries and patisseries but for these prices I expect the same quality. And again with the iPad tip for putting a pastry in a bag for mediocre service. Why is this expected? Extremely disappointing. We left feeling robbed.

Cakes are very good! Coffee and matcha are okay. Limited indoor seating. I’ll come back for the cakes. It’s not overly sweet but has good flavors and textures.

They are not open to 7, but until sell out, about 3:30~4pm recent days, but they’re still figuring out since they were just opened on Wednesday. Cakes are on the pricier side but pretty big portion. The peach pie was decent but nothing exceptional. They have these ka’ak bagels that I haven’t seen elsewhere, taste kind of like a hybrid between bagel and bread, made with sourdough. These elongated bagels are airier and bouncier than normal bagel. Give it a try!
